Company History |
SDT Insurance Agency is a LLC partnership and an affiliated division of Inter Insurance Agency that was founded in the late 1950s; Tim Derham, owner and cofounder of SDT Insurance Agency along with Saida Barrios decided to span their market service to the Southeast, Northeast, and Midwest markets, bringing a partnership between you, the insurance company, and our staff, assuring you quality protection, valued customer service, and above all, excellent claims support.
Our Insurance firm operates from three central locations. Our local office located in one of the most attractive business centers in Tampa, Florida and our modern attractive office in the heart of New York City that compromises 2,000 square feet. Our Tampa office is strategically located near the junction of Interstate 4 and Interstate 275.
Our Midwest office opened in 2007, and is strategically located in Central Ohio. This office serves clients in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan.

Northeast Division |
Timothy B. Derham, CPCU, CLU, ChFC: Chairman/CEO of Inter-Insurance Agency. A graduate of Connecticut College with a degree in Asian Studies, including study in Japan. Tim has over 20 years experience working in the insurance industry. He received his Masters Degree in Financial Services and Management through American College in Byrn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
Thomas Cirrincione: Senior Vice President of Specialty Program Development – A graduate of SUNY College of Oneonta with a B.S. of Business Economics. He has more than 12 years of experience in insurance industry, and was brought in our firm to operate and manage our Specialty Insurance Programs. |
Southeast Division |
| Saida Barrios, COO, General Office Manager: Chief Operations Manager for SDT Insurance Company and holds a Masters Degree in American Law from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg located in Huntington, New York, and a Law degree from Universidad Externado Nacional De Colombia located in Bogota, Colombia. She has worked in the insurance industry over 10 years and speaks Spanish and English fluently. Saida specializes in commercial lines with emphasis in the transportation insurance industry. |
Midwest Division |
| Victor Granello, Licensed Agent: Holds a Masters Degree in Public Service from Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He has worked over 20 years as a risk manager. He was elected three times as Chairman of a Public Risk Pool in Florida. He is licensed by the State of Ohio for both personal and commercial insurance lines. |
